Warren County earns Distinguished Achievement Award

Warren County High School received notice from the state school superintendent that they have been earned the Superintendent's Distinguished Achievement Award.

These awards are designed to honor schools that have scored at the highest level or made the greatest improvement in performance on the state curriculum exams. Schools are being awarded in all core academic areas across several grades. There are two categories of awards:
  • Achievement: The 10 schools with the highest percentage of students in the exceeds score level.

  • Improvement: The 10 schools with the greatest gains in the percentage of students in the meets and exceeds scoring levels.

Warren County High School has been presented the award by the state for improvement on the End-of-Course test scores in American Literature and Composition. Ms. Lindsey Sherrouse, American Literature teacher, was notified of the award at the homecoming pep rally Friday.

Ms. Sherrouse was also named Warren County High School's teacher of the quarter for the first 9 weeks. Congratulations go out to Ms. Sherrouse and her students for being named among the top 10 schools in the state.
