Warren County Middle School held an assembly in the Holliman Auditorium Wednesday afternoon to honor students for outstanding academic achievement during the first nine weeks. Students were honored in various categories including reading, math, science, language arts, social studies, connections, and attendance.
A number of students were recognized for their achievement in the Accelerated Reader program. Taking top honors among the girls was Catrice Williams, followed by Talisha Johnson, Shaniquia Myrick, Jamika Dawson, and Aaliyah Jackson.
Davion Williams took top honors for the boys in the Accelerated Reader program. He was joined in the top five by Chance Lee, Justin Alexander, Tony Alexander, and Quontavious Battle.
Ms. Jamie Baxley's class led all classes in Accelerated Reader points with a 283.1 total. Ms. Keshia Pryor's class was second with 261.8 points. Coming in third was Ms. Francine Pearce's class with 234.2 points.
